Marketing Co-ordinator – Christchurch

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, your main goal will be to assist the Marketing Team to deliver weekly promotions and marketing initiatives to our Retail Stores.   This is a challenging and fast paced role which will see you working along-side Retail, Production, and Dispatch to help expand and grow our business, strengthen our brand and deliver a high-quality marketing programme.  We are looking for an all-round marketer that can deliver creativity, copywriting, new forward thinking ideas and isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up to get the job done.


Your key accountabilities would be:


  • Support the Marketing Manager in idea creation and implementation in all aspects of campaigns including TV, Radio, Print and Digital advertising.
  • Co-ordinate and implement the weekly and monthly promotions in line with the agreed marketing campaign calendar
  • Ensure all published material is 100% accurate and always delivered on time, and meets all of Coupland’s Bakeries guidelines as directed
  • Communicate weekly and daily activity using the brief template in the Monthly Promo Kit and Daily Memo, and any other means as appropriate
  • Provide direction/written briefs to appropriate advertising agencies and the in-house team and ensure on time delivery of campaigns/artwork
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external partners (including Marketing, Retail, Operations, Production & Suppliers) to ensure our campaigns are fully integrated across the business.
  • Provide copywriting for product, promotional campaigns and blogs
  • Maintain files of printed and signed off advertising material, and provide these to the business as required to assist with planning
  • Monitor competitor activity, ensuring our weekly promotional offer is compelling in comparison to our competitors


The ideal candidate profile for this position will be:


  • A solid 3+ year marketing background in FMCG working with food and/or beverage retailing & manufacturing
  • Hold a relevant marketing qualification
  • Possess exceptional verbal and copywriting skills
  • Proven capability using web-based marketing tools including Social Media, Word Press, Google Analytics and Mail Chimp
  • Be a dynamic and creative thinker with problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict project deadlines
