Maintenance Engineer

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing:

 

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the Coupland’s Bakeries Engineer Team. Based at our manufacturing site in Hornby, the Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting operations and efficiently resolve issues with operation equipment to minimise plant down time. This is predominately a sole charge position working afternoon shift Wednesday to Friday 10.30am 9.00pm to Saturday 7.00am – 5.30pm and reporting to the Engineer Manager.

 

  • The capability to resolve and carry out emergency, preventative, and corrective maintenance on equipment to achieve maximum efficiency
  • An ability to manage time, multitask and work calmly under pressure
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  •  Experience working collaboratively across a range of teams
  •  Demonstrate sound mechanical knowledge
  •  The ability to be proactive and use initiative
  • Have a great positive can do attitude and take pride in your work
  • The ability to proactively report and communicate to the Engineer Manager

 

The ingredients for success:

 

  • A relevant Fitter & Boiler or Fitter/Turner trade qualification & welding essential
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working knowledge of FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • a sound knowledge of bearings, seals and gaskets, and alignment principles
  • knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Electrical ticket an advantage but not essential
